The Museum and Cafe will be closed from 24 to 26 December. The Gardens will be closed on 25 December.
One piece spear of black palm wood, with a long tapering point, and shaft that tapers towards the butt before flaring out into a flattened oval pommel. The neck of the spear is marked by extensive fibre binding, which is over painted with heavily discoloured lime paint.
