The tripod base for a round hardwood table. It consists of a turned wood vertical section, with a square, flat section at the top to support the tabletop. This is decorated throughout with mother of pearl inlay in geometric and natural designs, including flowers and fruit Below this are three curved legs carved from a dark wood, possibly ebony, each with the from of a dragon above.
