Gilded Buddha

Gilded wood relief. Painted background of clouds and flowers against a blue sky. Relief adhering to surface depicts robed Buddha with an aureole, right hand raised, left resting in lap, thumb touching middle finger, seated on a lotus throne. Surrounded by gilded flame or clouds. Below are two smaller figures of bodhisattvas also with aureoles. Figure on left holds long-stemmed lotus flower, figure on right has some damage to left hand, attribute probably missing. Both have headdresses and are seated on lotus pedestals. Gilded flames/clouds below and to sides. In wooden frame. 610h x 480w.
