Indian “hunting” sword, shamshir shikargar, from Punjab, probably Lahore. The curved single edge blade is chiselled with a procession of stylised animals and hunters all of which are enhanced with gold koftgari decoration. The iron hilt is also decorated with gold koftgari in a pattern strongly associated with Punjab.
