Tapered cylindrical fan case with 'ruyi'-shaped top, made of blue and burgundy silk with stiffened paper interface, lined with green silk. It opens at top with attached burgundy silk cord loop handle with one porcelain bead painted in overglazed enamel with floral design. The exterior is emboridered with couched gilt metal thread, on one side with 'ruyi' head on top, flowering branch in the middle and 'lishui' (standing water) pattern at the bottom; similar emboridery on the other side but a bat is inserted between the flowering branch.
