Kesi silk tapestry fan of floral shape, stretched over a cane frame with a central rib. Secured with a ruyi, or stylised sceptre, -shaped gilt metal clasp, trimmed with patterned silk ribbon. The yellow silk leaf has woven patterning with peony, wild chrysanthemum blossom and rocks. A stiffened orange silk rosette with applique peony spray and fret pattern is attached to the central bottom of the fan leaf, extending to a turned wooden handle fitted with green finials, and incised with five bats and scrolling.
