Ivory and wood figure or okimono, depicting a woman carrying a small child with a dog at her feet to her right. Her kimono has an incised pattern of chrysanthemum flowers. The obi is decorated with a tile pattern (ishidatami). Hair and collar of kimono painted black, as are patches on the dog and boy's hair. Made for export. On the child's costume is a pattern of asanohatsunagi, based on the shape of hemp leaves. On oval wooden base.
