Long tabby-woven predominantly red wool textile sewn together from 2 narrower pieces along the selvedges and again at the warp ends, thus forming a long loop. The main field of the textile is decorated with narrow white stripes in warp and weft forming an overall grid. Along both selvedges are dark brown and white striped patterns. One slevedge is folded over and very crudely tacked down, the other is reinforced with additional threads in yellow, brown, white and blue embroidered woollen threads forming a stronger, patterned edge. handspun, handwoven with natural dyes throughout. 3887 x 2 long, 742 high.
