Headdress of cassowary feathers secured together in a row by a rafting technique of knots in bark fibre string. Between the two rows of knots a short length of the quills is painted with a white chalky paint and the knots themselves are painted red. On the right side of the headdress [as worn] a single white feather is inserted in tot his band and an intermittent zig zag of coix lacryma seeds runs across above the knotting.
