







Painted clay figure of Virudhaka, the Guardian of the South and king of the giant demons. Seated in lalitasana. Dark blue complexion with half drawn sword across his knees. Wears a makara crown and large circular earrings, red robe with a green scarf. On a single lotus throne, the leaves in red, blue and green are in relief and the rounded tips point upwards.
