There will be no through route in the Gardens on Saturday 19 April, and the Gardens are open on Saturday to Spring Fair ticket holders only. Museum visitors need to enter and exit via London Road.
Circular box lid made of papier-mâché. The lid is painted yellow-gold, and is decorated with a representation of Krishna dancing with the milkmaids, or gopi, in the circular dance, the ‘rasalila’. Each ‘gopi’ imagines that Krishna dances with her alone. There is a roundel in the centre. The inside of the lid is coloured red.
