apron

Apron formed of two pieces of cream muslin stitched together vertically and embroidered in red thread along the sides with a zig zag design to either side of which a simple cross and along the bottom edge with rows of embroidered gfeometrical motifs in the same thread. Small motifs across the ground of the apron. Hemmed along lower edge; gathered at a waisrtband which is also embroidered. The waistband extends a little beyond the top edge of the apron skirt but there are no means of securing. A paper label stitched to the apron reads: 'Roumanian handwork 4/6 350'.
