Dance costume made of Chinese silks and brocades for the Buddhist dance of cham. Worn by monks in conjunction with a mask (the mask is really what identifies the character that the monk represents – without it, this could be a costume worn in any one of many cham dances. Such costumes are usually in this loose robe style with wide sleeves and often with a cloud collar. The yellow and red stripes are common on the sleeves.
