

A-shaped warrior's tunic, jibbeh, of quilted beige coarse-woven cloth with bold design made of pieces of applied fabric in other colours. Below the neck opening at the front three such rectangles are applied: red above, blue in the middle and red again below. This is repeated on the reverse. At each side is a red rectangle above a blue one. Additionally there are two blue triangular pieces front and back abive the hem helping to form the flare in the skirt element. A short horizontal blue band below each armpit. Further decoration of vertical strips to either side of the front panel, circular pieces to left and right of neck opening, and a dark blue piece forming a point below the neck opening at the back and on each shoulder. Slits at each side to allow wearer's hand to pass through. Around and below these openings a piece of dark fabric in a curvilinear shape below. Red panels above each sleeve and blue ones toward the end show signs of considerable wear. 997 long x 1295 wide across sleeves (39" x 51").
