Dragon robe in kesi (slit tapestry) silk, with five-clawed dragons amongst clouds. Below this are lishui waves with gold bats floating within. Other symbolic motifs include coins, fish, artemesia leaf, parasol, rhino horn cup. The embroidery is worked on a blue base, in light and dark bluies, yellow, white, gold, green, lime, khaki and browns. The robe appears to be unfinished, in that the outer ends of the sleeves are missing and parts are left undecorated, including the claws of the dragons, the neck and front opening. Lined in peach silk. There are no fastenings. 1525 x 1220mm.
