A sample of warp-faced textile woven banding, with gold-coloured, predominantly zig zag patterning on a red ground. Towards the edge on either side of this central panel are two green and black stripes. There is a further repeating geometric pattern along one side of the border. The patterning is achieved using gold metal-wrapped thread (wrapped around a silk core) as a supplementary warp.
