There will be no through route in the Gardens on Saturday 19 April, and the Gardens are open on Saturday to Spring Fair ticket holders only. Museum visitors need to enter and exit via London Road.
Headdress of cassowary feathers secured together in a row by a rafting technique of knots in bark fibre string. Between the two rows of knots a short length of the quills is painted with a white chalky paint and the knots themselves are painted red. In the centre of the headdress are six small pale orange bird of paradise feathers, heavily deteriorated in a plume.
