Large rectangular barkcloth decorated in black and brown on cream. The textile has been folded in half. A suspension cord runs along, inside the fold. Further, shorter ones are attached to each corner, and at the centrepoint along the fold. Both shorter sides have been cut to create cream fringing. Both sides are decorated with a rubbed black border, and a centre panel which is divided into 4 pairs of rectangles, separated on 3 sides by a brown border. It contains stencilled cream floral/star-motifs in pairs. The rectangles in the panel are decorated with 2 alternating painted patterns in black and cream. On one side they are striped, or subdivided bands. On the other side a patterned grid border, and a narrow brown border are inserted between the brown border and the panel. The rectangles are decorated with bands divided into rectangular fields, or diagonals of varying orientation.
