Sculpting Sound: Record, Remix, Represent

Join The Horniman and Goldsmiths for a week of music workshops and achieve a Bronze Arts Award. No previous experience needed!

Explore the Horniman and discover instruments from all over the world. Learn how to record professionally and turn your recordings into your own musical creations using Ableton music production software, then playback your own creations using digital DJ equipment with On The Rise DJ school.

Day to Day Focus

Day 1: Discover instruments from all over the world. Get to know and professionally record the Kora close up.

Day 2: Learn to write music for the early electronic instrument the Mini-Oramics Machine

Day 3: Discover the Horniman's vinyl record collection and make your own samples

Day 4: Visit Goldsmiths Electronic Music Studio

Day 5: Learn how to play music with contemporary digital DJ equipment with On the Rise DJ School
