About this event

Fun is not just for the kids, it’s for the whole family. This is your chance to join your children in two special music and arts sessions planned by our very own Horniman Youth Panel.

Feel the Rhythm

  • Times:  12.30pm, 2pm, and 3.30pm (30 mins, first come first served)
  • Location: Hands on Base

Join us for an exciting family music workshop planned and run by the Horniman Youth Panel alongside musician Helen McDonald. Learn about instruments and their history, hear sounds and stories that make them come alive, and learn to play ancient rhythms.

Wonderful World of Puppets

  • Time: 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm (45 mins, first come first served)
  • Location: Education Centre

Join the Horniman Youth panel and artist Charlotte Cranidge in creating puppets and scenes inspired by our new exhibition Brick Wonders. Explore the wonders that lie within your own imagination and bring them to life.

Outset Teen Tours

  • Time: 1.10pm, 2.40pm (20 mins, first come first served)
  • Location: Information Desk

Get a fresh perspective on our collections with these tours, designed and led by a young person. Each Teen Tour is with a different young person. They will take you a personal journey of the Horniman, introducing you to the collections from their point of view. Expect fresh insights and perspectives, new connections and stories.
