Oboe, boxwood, narrow ivory mount at bell joint. Nine silver keys, eight ornately octagonal and one round, flat, mounted in turned blocks and rings except one on a saddle. Twin holes for third finger only. Black wood or horn thumb rest. Normal chromatic keys (including upper C), plus octave key. Sounding length (length overall) is 55.8 cm. Bell rim chipped. Chip and groove inside bell. Warped. Stamped: Goodlad 25 Villier Street Strand, London (lyre mark and Patent; numbered 3254 on upper and lower joints and 2306 on bell).
