Han Chinese woman's robe in green patterned silk with short stand-up collar. Embroidered with bats, butterflies and flowers in satin stitch and seed stitch in graduated colours. The floral sprays are of chrysanthemum, plum blossom, orchid, magnolia and begonia grandis, the autumn crab apple. Note embroidery on underside of sleeves, which are turned back when worn. There is writing on the lining of the skirt.
