One rectangular box (see Gibb, 1914, p.5) containing musical notes with red lid inscribed 'Chassevant/Method of Musical Education/Box of Moveable Signs'. A series of 12 compartments inside the box contains moveable musical signs mase of metal for clefs (G, F and C); semibreves and minims; crochets; quavers; semiquavers; demisemiquavers; sharps, flats and naturals; barlines; ledger lines; semibreve rests, quaver and crochet rests; semiquaver rests and one dot; demisemi and semidemisemiquaver rests.
