321.322-71 Necked box lutes or necked guitars sounded by bowing with a bow

Kemence fiddle with a flat backed oblong body. The neck and the pegbox are carved from a single piece of wood. The convex soundboard is probably made from spruce with pokerwork decoration around the edges. There are two parallel straight soundholes with rounded ends, the wooden bridge placed mid-point between them. There is a wooden soundpost. The fingerboard is a separate piece of wood. Three wire strings are attached to the front-entrant pegs, running from holes under the pegbox to the tailpiece.
