mangle board

Mangle board made of wood, consisting of a flat board with a raised handle at one end in the shape of a horse. On one side of the handle are two sets of carved initials: 'CJS' and 'WOD'. On the other side of the handle the carved inscription reads: 'Ano 1719'. It is decorated on the upper surface with six panels of carved designs of biblical scenes: Jonah and the whale; Daniel and the lion; Moses and the tablets of stone, on one of which is the figure 3 and on the other the figure 7; Isaac and Abraham; John the Baptist; and finally Adam and Eve.
