Two-row melodeon, Germany circa 1880. No serial number. Silver embossed label in wooden pallet cover: 'Steel Reeds Made in Germany. Registered.' On embossed metal plaque: 'Chromatic Anglo Melodeon.' 11.69" x 6.5" diameter black painted softwood ends. Right-hand with 2 rows of domed brass keys, 10 + 9, covered pallets under fretted grille. Left-hand with 4 spoon basses, 1 spoon air valve. Leather thumb strap and hand strap. Nine-fold bellows, central fold thicker. Metal edging and securing clips. Tartan papers. Steel tongues.
