The Museum will close 5-5.30pm on Thursday 6 March to prepare for the Late. The Gardens will close at 5.30pm.
Lanceolate wooden paddle with a long blade, half the length of the overall piece. The blade shows no sign of having ever been painted. The blade is set in line with one edge of the shaft, which is ovate in section and tapers gradually towards the butt, which terminates in a cylindrical conical pommel.
