Jug with orange slip partly showing under gold lustre decoration. There are two bands of floral decoration, one round the body of the jug, and one round the neck. There is an embossed pattern round the rim. The jug has a pouring lip and a decorative handle. Inside the jug the gold lustre decoration continues as far down as the neck goes, and the rest of the interior has a white glaze.
There is a card label with the object, which reads: 'ENGLAND early 19th cent. / Lustre ware / Earthenware, coated / with very think layer / of gold and platinum'.
